We get it. Feeling cooped up and stuck in one place for an entire workday isn’t healthy and can stifle productivity. That’s why we encourage our employees to go outside and get some fresh air, use our adjustable sit/stand desks, and do short bursts of activity throughout the day.

And that’s not all… think bringing your dogs to work, barbecues, golf tournaments, baseball games, coworkers who feel more like family than colleagues, and fun surprises like, say, a polar bear roaming the office handing out free fruit.

“When I joined HES from my previous (fairly active) job, I was nervous about being stuck at a desk all day. But I’m so happy to work for an organization where we practice what we preach. With standing desks, daily walk breaks, an onsite gym, and the opportunity to be involved in many group projects, I rarely find myself glued to my chair for too long.
